Well yesterday was my last day of "living" in south Louisiana. after work i got in my car and headed north. I cannot tell you how sad i was to leave my co workers. I thought my supervisor would cry but she did not. I have been in that office for four years and it was very bitter sweet and it meant a lot for them all to come by and tell me goodbye. I dont know it kinda made me feel like i brought a little something to the office and actually did make a difference.
I got each of my co workers a little something. and a card. I think they liked that and they ended up returning the favor and getting me a very cute windchime. Also my friends sarah lee, stacy, and karen went to eat at Osake hibachi. They even bought my lunch. im going to miss them. its strange to look back when i came to the office in 2006 i remember feeling like such an outsider. Almost everyone i worked w/ at that time has moved on.
I talked to one of my sorority sisters last night and she made me feel alittle more at ease, as she worked w/ my new supervisor when she was training when she still worked for my company. she says that he is nice. Management seems to be excited im going. it took a while for me to get used to my old office i hope i ease into the new office.
Justin and marbles are on their way up now. They are about a hour out. Justin is going to drop marbles off at his families' house and then come over here to my mom's house and eat thanksgiving lunch with us. The toms fam is cooking thanksgiving dinner for the needy today at Grace community church and i dont think they will be having a dinner.
i can't wait to see my nephew and niece they should be here soon too.
tomorrow we are not going shopping but we are going to look at rentals! on tuesday our realtor yvette came and took pics of our house in pearl river and after thanksgiving it should be on the world wide web. i have my fingers crossed and actually i feel very good!
i am so thankful. for the first time ever i look back over the last ten years and things make so much more sense. I love my Lord!
Happy Thanksgiving all!

its been awhile!
so so much has happened since last january! I kinda forgot about my blog and i guess that at one point i forgot how to get into it! well lets see what has happened. I have lost 47 lbs since march of 2010 by going to weight watchers almost every week. its been kinda touch and go the last two weeks or so due to stomach virus, a cold, and my husband being laid off since october 8th. other than that i am very well. we are currently in the middle of moving to Shreveport!?!?! i am so excited about this. Justin found a job in shreveport w/ barkdale and i am so very proud of him. its been a rollercoaster the last few weeks, but i am happy to say that God is faithful. his word is true and this experience has taught me so much. We are putting our house on the market, i am transferring with my job, and we start at our new job/ offices on monday the 29th. we are still homeless in shreveport, we have appts on friday and saturday of next week during thanksgiving to find a place, but we will hopefully be staying w/ family in jonesboro till we find a place to rent.
other than that life is good. i have to say im pretty happy. we went to montana this summer w/ justin's fam and some close friends. it was gorgeous and i had a great time. can't wait for the holidays. i have not yet started christmas shopping, to tell you the truth there for awhile i wasn't sure we would have much of a christmas! but we will thankfully.
today we spent much of the day cleaning. i really got on all fours and hand mopped my kitchen tonight. cleaned out closets. decluttered. ugh. why is it that cleaning is like a root canal. i hate it. we have one more room to do and some odds and ends and then we are pretty much ready for anything. im glad b/c i want to know that the house is as much as show ready as possible. i used to be scared to death of selling my house and the market etc. now after going thru a lay off i could care less. losing one of our jobs was totally the biggest fear of mine. i remember when we bought our house before i was a believer i totally voice this fear too. i am so convinced that the enemy listened to everything i said and took advantage of that fear and i can say that i truly leaned on God during this time and he took a tragedy and turned it into not just an opportunity but a blessing. i feel that if God gave me this opportunity i have nothing to worry about. my job, leaving friends, finding a low cost rental, selling the house, it will all come with in due time. im leaning on him and trusting on him and just along for the ride. i am well aware the market is bad. if i have my husband and i have a roof over my head and i can eat and pay my bills i can hold out till we sell this house. its a comforting feeling.
well i am definately going to update more. will keep you posted on any developments. im sure it will be interesting to say the least!

cold weather
i am loving this weather. its fantastic!
i just wish that we could get a free day off
b/c of the snow. unfortunately it doesn't look like
its going to rain. which means no snow. boo.
i really dont think ive ever seen it get so cold here.
i am loving it though. i think justin is really thinking hard about
taking steps to move back home. it would be incredibly hard.
first off we would have to sell our house and get a profit off of it which
is extremely hard b/c of the market. also we have to get jobs that hopefully would
pay similar to what we make now. which is not only difficult but impossible
where we are from. i know we can't make what we make here but it would be nice to only take a 5% pay cut. the cost of living up there is different.
justin and i spent a week at home over christmas and i think its still fresh on his mind. i know i want to move home more than anything but im just waiting for when its supposed to happen. i think we are here for a reason and i hope whatever its for
we are fufilling our purpose here. it would be a relieve though to start over with a new house i mean. i love our house i just think it would be cool to start over and we know so much more about purchasing homes now that we have done it.
i pray from time to time over this. i wonder if i did move home i would later regret it. justin expressed to me on monday that he knows that he doens't see his kids growing up here. i dont know. we will see. i just have to keep the faith and keep pressing on. when im here its not so bad. i get busy with work and church and friends and i dont think about home. but i do miss my fam and goign home after christmas was hard. when i walked into our house that night it didn't feel like home.
it gets better with time but then again it doesn't. i got really home sick right around our wedding. we will never know people down here like we do at home and we had people that gave us such a out pour of love and support when we did get married.
i dont know what im doing here, but i wish that if i had the opportunity one day if ever it would show itself to us and that it would just happen.

good bye christmas vacation
ode to the christmas vacation that i have been living for hte last week and a half.
the mere thought of getting of bed in the morning between 5:45 - 6:20 kills me and just puts me in a bad mood. (ok more like 6:45) and i know it will be cold. and dark. and i will get that nausea feeling in my throat.
ill stumble into the living room look out and see darkness. the cat will try to trip me. we will go into the bathroom and marbles will then jump into the jacuzzi tub and lick the jets. i will scold him for acting like a thirty cat tha that has no water b/c there are like eight water bowls lying around the house.
i iwll then take a hot shower and then start getting ready. no time to curl my hair b/c i woke up at 6:45 and throw on my clothes. i may or maynot put on make up. it just depends if i have time. i may have to sneakily put it on at my cube once i arrive to work.
i will tell justin to get up about five or six times.
then leave finally and say goodbye.
i will try to beat my neighbor out of the driveway just two houses down the "red hummer" lady as i call her. then ill try to go around 65 mph on the highway then suddenly slow down to 25 at all major schoolzones then immediately speed up to 65 again. i will ride in the left lane all the way to my exit off the interstate.
then try to run through every yellow light on the hwy i exit off on. then when pulling into the parking lot i will pray that my crazy co worker is not here yet that arrives thirty minutes earlier. usually she either sleeps in the car with lights on or does yoga round the building. hopefully it was too cold for her this morning.
then ill go to my cube, put on my makeup and get the day over with!
oh how i love mondays after christmas vactaion! it feels so bleak right about now!
