its been awhile!

so so much has happened since last january! I kinda forgot about my blog and i guess that at one point i forgot how to get into it! well lets see what has happened. I have lost 47 lbs since march of 2010 by going to weight watchers almost every week. its been kinda touch and go the last two weeks or so due to stomach virus, a cold, and my husband being laid off since october 8th. other than that i am very well. we are currently in the middle of moving to Shreveport!?!?! i am so excited about this. Justin found a job in shreveport w/ barkdale and i am so very proud of him. its been a rollercoaster the last few weeks, but i am happy to say that God is faithful. his word is true and this experience has taught me so much. We are putting our house on the market, i am transferring with my job, and we start at our new job/ offices on monday the 29th. we are still homeless in shreveport, we have appts on friday and saturday of next week during thanksgiving to find a place, but we will hopefully be staying w/ family in jonesboro till we find a place to rent.

other than that life is good. i have to say im pretty happy. we went to montana this summer w/ justin's fam and some close friends. it was gorgeous and i had a great time. can't wait for the holidays. i have not yet started christmas shopping, to tell you the truth there for awhile i wasn't sure we would have much of a christmas! but we will thankfully.

today we spent much of the day cleaning. i really got on all fours and hand mopped my kitchen tonight. cleaned out closets. decluttered. ugh. why is it that cleaning is like a root canal. i hate it. we have one more room to do and some odds and ends and then we are pretty much ready for anything. im glad b/c i want to know that the house is as much as show ready as possible. i used to be scared to death of selling my house and the market etc. now after going thru a lay off i could care less. losing one of our jobs was totally the biggest fear of mine. i remember when we bought our house before i was a believer i totally voice this fear too. i am so convinced that the enemy listened to everything i said and took advantage of that fear and i can say that i truly leaned on God during this time and he took a tragedy and turned it into not just an opportunity but a blessing. i feel that if God gave me this opportunity i have nothing to worry about. my job, leaving friends, finding a low cost rental, selling the house, it will all come with in due time. im leaning on him and trusting on him and just along for the ride. i am well aware the market is bad. if i have my husband and i have a roof over my head and i can eat and pay my bills i can hold out till we sell this house. its a comforting feeling.

well i am definately going to update more. will keep you posted on any developments. im sure it will be interesting to say the least!
